From form to pick-up
Booking a day trip should be simple, but four things decide whether the day goes well: the right pick-up point, the right expectation about the group, a clear list of what is included, and a plan for rain. Here is how each one is settled before you pay.
The steps

Route, date, number of travellers and ages of any children, and whether you prefer join-in or private.

Read the quote
A price per person, the pick-up window, the vehicle type, what is included and what is not.

Confirm in writing
You reply to accept. Payment instructions come on the written confirmation, never in a separate message.

Receive the final details
Before the day: the pick-up window, the meeting point if there is one, and the guide's arrangements.
Nothing is held until you confirm. If the date is close, say so in the form so we check that first: whether the departure or the vehicle is still available.
What we need from you
- The route and the date. If you have two possible dates, give both; weekdays are calmer on the road.
- How many of you, with children's ages. This decides the vehicle and the boat jackets.
- Join-in, private or undecided. Undecided is a good answer; we will say which suits your party.
- Where you are staying. The hotel name is enough. Join-in pick-up is in the central wards; outside them we suggest a meeting point or price a private collection.
- Anything that limits the day. Mobility, a dislike of small boats, dietary needs, an evening flight.

If anything you were told by email is missing from the confirmation, the confirmation is what counts. Ask us to add it before you pay.
Paying safely
Payment details are given only on your written confirmation. Do not send card numbers by email or in the form. If a message asks you to pay to an account that is not on your confirmation, do not pay; send the form and ask us first.

Changes, rain and holidays
Changing the date or the party
Tell us as early as you can. On a private trip a change in party size changes the per-person price, because the vehicle cost is divided differently. On a join-in trip a change of date depends on space on the new departure. The cancellation terms that apply to you are written on your confirmation before you pay.
Rain and storms
Ordinary rain does not stop the boats; they have canopies and ponchos are handed out. In storms or high water, boat operators reduce their loads or stop sailing; the Can Tho transport authority instructs them to do so. When that happens the guide changes the order of the day, swaps a boat stretch for a road one, or shortens it. If the core of the trip cannot run at all, we offer another date first.
Public holidays
The roads out of the city are at their slowest on holiday weekends; press reports from New Year's Day 2026 describe long queues where the expressway meets the old roads near My Tho. If you must travel then, choose a private trip with an early start, and do not plan anything fixed for the evening.

If something goes wrong on the morning
The most common problem on a delta day is the pick-up, not the river. On a join-in day the vehicle may be late because of traffic or other collections; wait in the lobby until the end of your window. If nobody has come by then, reply to your confirmation email so we can trace the vehicle. On a private day the driver has your hotel name and the agreed time.
If you are unwell on the morning, tell us as early as you can by replying to the confirmation. What can be moved or refunded depends on the terms written on your confirmation.
Travelling with children or older relatives
Say so in the form, with ages. Every boat has life jackets; we ask the boat operator to bring small sizes for young children. Child seats cannot be assumed in hire cars; if you need one, we confirm in writing whether it can be fitted. For older travellers the main difficulty is stepping between jetties and small boats; the guide and boat crew help, but if that step is a problem, tell us and we plan fewer boat changes, which is easier on a private day.

Common questions
Questions travellers ask most
How far ahead should I book?
A few days is usually enough on weekdays. For weekends, public holidays and the weeks around Lunar New Year, book as early as you can; vehicles and the join-in departures fill up.
Can I book for tomorrow?
Send the form and say so. We will tell you whether we can confirm in time. We do not take same-day bookings.
Do I need to bring my passport?
On the two-day trip, yes; the hotel will ask for it at check-in. On a day trip, carry a copy or a photo of it.
What if the join-in departure does not reach its minimum?
We tell you as soon as we know and offer another date, or a private day at its own price, which you are free to decline.
